Diponegoro 1830
Animation
Directed by Gata Mahardika & Subiyanto"Diponegoro 1830" is more than an animated film—it is a cultural experiment that makes history accessible and alive for future generations. While the animation itself was created by an independent team of artists, Tulisan is proud to support and share this work with our collectors and with wider communities across disciplines. For us, research is not just an internal investment, but a commitment to reimagining how history and education can be experienced through art, design, and storytelling.
Since 2020, Tulisan has been sustaining the 1830 Project by integrating academic research into the creation of wearable art and accessible literature. Each piece we produce becomes both an object of design and a vessel of knowledge—transforming consumption into a conscious act, and sparking curiosity in the richness of Indonesia’s cultural legacy. Through collaborations like this, we continue to preserve heritage, nurture craftsmanship, and encourage new ways of seeing history—keeping it alive, relevant, and inspiring for generations to come.
