Possible
—We envision a future where illustration-driven storytelling strengthens economic resilience, environmental responsibility, and cultural preservation—achieved through collaborations with historians, scientists, and grassroots organisations. The 1830 Collection is a five-year project (2025–2030) commemorating the bicentennial of the Java War, based on Babad Diponegoro, a UNESCO Memory of the World manuscript. Written by Prince Diponegoro during his exile, this autobiographical chronicle offers a decolonial perspective on the rise and fall of the Javanese Kingdom and the Prince’s spiritual journey. By reconstructing this epoch-making cultural heritage through wearable objects, publications, and immersive formats, we aim to make it accessible for global audiences by 2030.
